How it differs from Rhylthyme

Rhylthyme Kitchen is the regular Rhylthyme connector, set up for cooking:

Search starts in recipes. Catalog searches default to recipes; Claude can still search everything else when you ask.
Two shortcuts. cook_recipe finds the best-matching recipe and opens its live timeline in one step; whats_for_dinner picks a random recipe when you can't decide.
Links open on kitchen.rhylthyme.com. Live timelines and program pages use this site.

Every other tool is the same, and so is your account: programs you save are in the same library either way. Install one or the other; if you schedule more than cooking, use Rhylthyme.

Install

In Claude Desktop, open in the sidebar. Customize in the Claude sidebar, with the Connectors tab

Open the tab, click , then . Add menu with the Add custom connector option

Name it rhylthyme-kitchen (or anything you like) and paste this URL:

Rhylthyme's tools appear under the connector — Claude picks the right one automatically when you talk.

Advanced: edit claude_desktop_config.json

To wire it up through the config file instead, add this to your mcpServers block (it needs Node.js for npx):

Reach the file via Settings → Developer → Edit Config, then restart Claude Desktop.

Other MCP clients

Rhylthyme is a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP, no sign-in needed for the public tools), so any client that takes a server URL can use it.

No tracking, no ads, no personal data shared with Anthropic or third parties
No login required for public recipes
Optional account to save your own (Google / Apple / email magic link)
Tool returns are markdown summaries — full data only fetched when you open the live timeline
